CatchGo Privacy Policy
Effective: 26 October 2026Information we handle
- Cat photos: cat detection and cut-outs happen entirely on your device. Cards you add to your collection are stored on this device by default.
- Location: used only to record where you met a cat. We never send exact coordinates to our server, only the number of a roughly 500 m grid cell. You can hide any cat location.
- Account (optional): if you sign in with Google we keep only the ID Google provides, not your email.
- Notifications (optional): if you turn them on, we keep your device notification token and the grid cell numbers where you met cats.
- Ads: Google AdMob shows ads using identifiers such as the advertising ID. Where required we show a consent message (UMP) first, and you can reset the advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in your device settings.
Retention and deletion
- You can delete all collection data in Settings, and if you connected an account you can delete the account and server data.
- Notification tokens stop being used when you turn notifications off or uninstall the app, and unused tokens are deleted.
Safety
- To protect stray cats we never show other people an exact location. Location data embedded in photos (EXIF) is not stored.
- You can report photos showing people or inappropriate content; cards reported by several people are hidden until reviewed.
Third-party services
- Google ML Kit (on-device), Google AdMob, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, and OpenStreetMap (loading map tiles may share your IP address and the map area you view).
